Lamborghini Giro Roars Through Southwest

Giro Lamborghini heated up the Southwestern U.S. from June 11-15. The annual customer gathering attracted 28 couples and their vehicles for four days of scenic driving, fine dining and athletic and outdoor excursions. Also in attendance were two of the brand-new Aventador LP 700-4′s and Lamborghini executives including President and CEO Stephan Winkelmann, Director of Research and Development Maurizio Reggiani, Head of After Sales Alessandro Farmeschi, and Lamborghini America COO Wolfgang Hoffmann.

The event kicked off Saturday, June 11 at the Royal Palms Hotel in Phoenix, Arizona. Guests arrived throughout the day from their respective homes across the United States and Canada, and gathered in the evening for a welcome dinner at T. Cook’s Restaurant.

On Sunday, June 12, the group drove from Phoenix to Payson and later Sedona. At Chaparral Pines Golf Club in Payson, Callaway Golf hosted a drive experience with some of its newest products, including those made in partnership with Lamborghini and featuring lightweight, forged composite carbon fiber. After lunching at the clubhouse, the caravan traveled northwest on winding scenic roads to Enchantment Resort in Sedona. Guests later dined under the stars at the resort, and had readings done by internationally recognized astrologer and psychotherapist Debra Silverman.

The following day, guests experienced the majesty of the Grand Canyon by air and by land. The morning drive took cars past tight corners and mountain views. The group took helicopter flights over the Grand Canyon, then ate lunch at a picnic spot in the national park. That evening, the group dined at Rene restaurant in downtown Sedona.

On Tuesday, June 14, guests had free time in the morning for hiking, mountain biking or relaxing at Enchantment Resort’s pool and spa. That afternoon, the group drove from Sedona to Las Vegas, Nevada and enjoyed five-star accommodations at the Encore Hotel. The evening featured an exclusive cocktail party at Blush Nightclub in the Wynn Hotel; when the club opened to the public later that night, guests partied with celebrities including Holly Madison and Lil Jon.

The final day of Giro brought guests to the track – at Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, participants had the opportunity to drive the latest Lamborghini models including the highly-sought after Aventador LP 700-4, Gallardo LP 570-4 Spyder Performante and Gallardo LP 550-2 Bicolore.

At the conclusion of official Giro events Wednesday night, some guests departed to their respective homes while others stayed in Vegas for extended celebrating.
